Hedge Trimming and Shaping

With so many tree species being used as hedges I tend not to apply a ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach to hedge trimming and hedge shaping. The best time to trim and prune your hedges are very much dependent on the species used and the effect you desire.

For deciduous hedges, if you are looking to encourage growth the best time of year to cut is winter. However, to restrict vigour and promote bushiness the best time of year is midsummer with a further tidying trim in autumn. Whatever the desired outcome, you can rest assured I use the best equipment available with regularly sharpened blades to give you the best finish possible.

I can use you own council green bin collection or, for a small additional charge, remove and dispose of all green waste legally through my council green waste licence.

My hedge trimming service can be part of an overall regular garden maintenance package or as a stand alone service. Please contact me for a site visit and free quotation.
